Are these watermelons?

Are these watermelons or some kind of wild melon that's not eatable? I did not plant these...I discovered the vine growing on my property...We live in extreme southeast Louisiana...

They are not likely to be watermelons, at a glance, maybe cucumber, but maybe not. If someone planted them in the past they are likely a cross between several different varieties and even if they are edible they might not taste very good (I am assuming you picked these off a vine). Applestar is right without seeing leaves etc, it is hard to guess accurately. If it were me I would pull it up and throw it away as crosses in the squash, cucumber family often taste pretty bad.
