Potato Curing/ eating potatos from a plant that had blight

organic potatoes.jpg
Hi everyone!

Hope you are all having successful gardens! I harvested the potatoes in the picture on Sunday. I put them in the fridge to cure them. a quick google search said cure in temps 45-60. I figured my fridge was in the 40's...

Do you have to cure them?

Also, these taters came from a plant I think has blight. (I think all mine do). Black spots on leaves and the yellow. The taters themselves look healthy to me, but I wanted to be sure they would be safe to eat. (taters are not green, I do know about eating green taters).

Thanks!! :)

Your potatoes are safe to eat. However, putting them in the fridge may definitely affect their texture & flavor.

unless you have lots and lots of them just eat them up. If you have to many to eat quickly then keep them somewhere cool, with plenty of airflow and out of direct light. Even so, eat them up in the next few months. So, you can just eat them right out of the garden.
