This hit us 2 nights ago out of the blue, lasted less than 8 minutes.. lost a broccoli plant, but everything else seems to have recovered so far. With almost 3+ inches of rain in the last 4 days...in ready for some dry weather!

I had some hail pass through my area several weeks ago and all I could think of was all the damage the last hail storm did. I lost my entire garden, foliage was stripped from trees, my roof had over 30 holes in it and my vehicles looked like they were parked on the field of a driving range.
Luckily it only lasted a few minutes and were no bigger than small marbles, so no real damage. But everytime I hear hail, my heart kind of sinks expecting the worst.
As for rain, we've been getting WAY too much. I don't have the figures, but May had to be one of the wettest on record for this area because I can't remember one being any wetter except for that one day in 1978 when a lot of the city flooded from a long torrential rainfall.
Your bottom picture looks like my entire garden has looked on several occasions the past 5-6 weeks. I'm truly surprised my plants don't come down with root rot from all the water.
