What ate the tops off my peas??

I had about 50 pea plants in about 5 different locations that were 2 feet high and getting flowers. The next two days ever plant was cut down to a foot. I figured ground hog and set my cage trap. I hope I caught the culprit and guess what it was 3 possums. There may be more so I will set the trap next weekend. Do possums eat peas? I hope its not something else.

Could be rats as well. They destroyed my peas and broccoli plants literally overnight. All were trapped.
