Can you scare Rabbits with solar powered lights?

I got a rabbit proof fence for about 75% of my garden. I have on order fencing to finish the rest. But in the mean time, rabbits have been eating my corn.

Will those $1 solar powered LED lights from walmart scare the rabbits away for a couple of days until I get my fence finished?

Plus my corn was only have eaten, will it continue to grow or is it done for?

Thanks,
Michael

No. LED lights will have no effect on rabbits. While the few seconds during which they switch on may startle them a little, they'll soon get used to them & not care. Wildlife are inherently intelligent creatures.

Corn is basically grass, so as long as only the top of the leaves was eaten (trimmed/mowed), it will grow back from the base of the tube-like structure. Only issue is that the eaten ones may suffer a set back and not grow in sync with the others to join the pollinating party.

But I think as long as there are others at the same stage of growth, or they manage to mature in time for the second ear, it should be OK.
