Fencing

As its drawing closer to planting time, I continue to ponder about fencing.
Just not sure how much a chicken fence or any fence will do.
I want to keep it simple and see how this year does.
Critters can dig, jump and force their way in.
I'm more concerened about my radicchio, lettuce.
don't want to build a fortress---yet.

Critters can do all that, but in my experience, they don't usually, they go find easier pickings. It's sort of like locking your car. Anyone who really wants to break in to it, can just throw a brick through a window (which has happened to me). But usually they don't - it's more work and riskier, attracts more attention. They just go look for someone who left their car unlocked or their keys in it.
