10 week old peppers and tomatoes

If all goes well, how big of a container will peppers and tomatoes need at 8 to 10 weeks before transplanting outside?

My estimate would be roughly, 3-4" nursery pots, or pt (16 oz) for peppers, 18 oz/20 oz beverage cups to qt (32 oz) for tomatoes.

I also re-purpose 1/2 gal containers and have 3 tomato plants per container which gets a bit tight, and see better results with 2 per container. I often end up planting the biggest one of the three first, then fill the void with more potting mix and the other two can manage to stay in the container for another week.

I have a bunch of 3 inch pots. The tomatoes and peppers are just right in them up to ten weeks. Beyond that you would want to put them out in the ground or pot them up.
