growing peas on a hill?

We have a huge retaining hill in our backyard. I want to use it more for some veggies to save room up top for my 120 tomato plants.

Normally the hill is filled with flowers I grow from seed and the marigolds reared themselves to take up at least 50% of the real estate.

Would love to grow peas up the hill along the fence. Built in climbing medium lol. Would they be ok there? I learned to not do hill planting with potatoes last year, don't want to make the same mistake again.

Thanks, gnat

I do believe peas would do well there.

Some good aspects with hills/slopes IF they are facing the sun most of the day is that you will get higher soil temperature because you have more surface getting hit by the sun, this I asume could be a negative for some plants in hotter climates instead.
