Epson Salt

I have 1/2 gallon of Epson salt. Can I use this on the garden or should I throw it in the trash?

Hi Gary, I mix a spray for my tomatoes and peppers. Like a tablespoon in a quart of water. Some people sprinkle the crystals in the garden. I think I'd keep it around and use it.

Gary, what you may want in Epsom salt is the magnesium. What you probably don't want is to raise your Arizona garden soil pH.

Chlorophyll must be very complex but the list of elements in it is fairly simple. The largest parts of it the plant can get on its own from air and water. Then, there is nitrogen. Finally, there is this little bit of magnesium.

As I understand it, in many, many soils - there is plenty of magnesium for the plants. Only a soil test will show you for sure.
