PH levels for vegetables

Does anyone know the approximate PH level that is "good" for most vegetables? I will be getting ready to plant in a few weeks, and I want to adjust the level if neccesary before I do so.

I did some digging on this issue, and thought that I would post my findings to help anyone else who might do a search here for this info.

It appears that a PH level of 6.0 falls in the proper range for most of the common garden veggies that I could find a listing for.

I think a range between 6 and 7, if you test your gardens soil, is acceptable, give or take a couple of points either way.
