I am making a vegetable garden behind the house and because of the wildlife I will have to fence the perimeter.
Does anyone know how close you can plant to the pressure treated posts or where I might get this information. I am concerned about the copper leaching into the earth around the vegetables.
The only other posts that I can locate are pine and fir which do not make sense to me.

CCA I wouldnt worry about the copper as much as the A part of CCA Arsenic.
Since I have an organic farm we arent allowed to have any pressure treated poles so I'm afraid I cant help much but just wanted to let you know don't worry abou thte copper as much as the other chemicals in the pressure treated post.
