Lettuce ready to eat from greenhouse floor.

Finally my lettuce I planted 2 months ago on the floor of my small solar greenhouse is ready to eat. I planted a early red type lettuce and it looks good. I have more lettuce in cold frames that will be ready in 2 more weeks!

The lettuce was really tender we ate today for the first time this year.r. I even had some asparagus for the first time that I started a few years ago I only got a half dozen tops but it was way better that what I bought at the store. I even have one purple asparagus .

Sounds great! I've been harvesting asparagus also. I ONLY have the purple passion variety... And looks like more of it since this one berries and reseeds rather heavily. I have some volunteers growing now. I took a zip bag of yesterday's harvest along with new shoots of ostrich fern to my Mom yesterday. I'm picking lettuce, arugula, and Swiss chard as they grow from my garden :D

I had to chuckle at the title of this thread. Only in a gardening forum would that sound even remotely appetizing!
