Colors of Fall

While the autumn leaves are beautiful my favorite fall colors are late harvest peppers. Such rich colors. Freeze coming tonight and tomorrow night so I had to pick peppers and eggplant. Great table centerpiece.

Very pretty :D
I think the full one month extra you got compared to my garden makes all the difference in being able to harvest red peppers. My hot peppers all colored ups-are coloring up AFTER they had to be brought inside as I mentioned elsewhere.

With bell and other sweet peppers, I have to make sure to grow fast maturing varieties or else I would barely get a handful of colored peppers from each plant and have to harvest the rest green.

Nice I am jealous. The only real color I have around here are the few remaining peppers I have that have already been through a few freezes. Somehow the peppers keep going.

Beautiful! My rainbow chard also develops really intense deep colors after it has been through a couple frosts. It gets toughened up so it isn't as good to eat, but really pretty.
