Royal Chantenay Carrots

Image

These are full season carrots. They get huge. Some were 2+ pounds each. Still nice and crisp. Not at all woody.

I got some big ones too. Danvers half long, but it is compost, I left them in the ground and they went to seed.
Happy gardening in Hawaii. Gardens are where people grow.

Re: Royal Chantenay Carrots

The soil usually freezes here and it will kill even carrots. However if I want to grow seed I take a carrot from the pit come spring and plant it. They will make seed the second year.
