Hi I started some bell peppers and Chili peppers (new mexican chili) awhile back and everything is growing great , I decided to transplant them in my raised garden bed, I cannot figure out what this is,(it looked just like the rest of the pepper sprouts so I transplanted it in the row) it has VERY sharp thorns was a sprout in the Chili peppers (organic compost) but I never seen one like this can someone help identify please.. I had a few weird plants in my compost I have taken out, any help would be GREAT

It looks like pigweed/amaranth but they usually don't have thorns so I searched for "pigweed with thorns" and -- well, whaddaya know!? -- there *is* something called "Spiney Amaranth" or "Thorny Pigweed"
