Do critters do this?

I noticed a good percentage of my bush beans have been clipped. I know we have rabbits around our allotment but I never thought they would eat the tops of them. Has anyone noticed critters eating these, or has a critter of the 2 legged variety been roughly snatching the beans off the plants?

Thanks.

Looks like deer to me. I have seen this in my garden next to the tree farm and it has been deer they like to cut the top of the ear of corn off as well.

Interesting. We have reindeer here in Northern Finland, but I think as the allotment is off the coast of my town, it's an odd place for reindeer to be hanging around. Since the town is right next to a forest though, I suppose anything is possible

I guess we also have squirrels, foxes, and rats around too.

I wouldn't suspect the squirrels, foxes, or rats. But it looks like the damage my resident woodchuck/ groundhog does. Comes along and chews the tops off everything leaving just a few inches of bare stem sticking up, as in your photo.
