Balcony Garden Success!

Just wanted to share my balcony garden! I had a problem with squirrels earlier in the year (they ran off with full tomatoes!) so I built this cage with chicken wire to keep the veggies safe. Everything is planted in 5+ gallon pots and I've been fertilizing with kelp every few weeks... The cage turned out to be extra helpful for supporting my growing tomatoes as I can string them up to the roof as they grow!
I've got - Early girl tomatoes, Juliette tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, watermelon, zucchini and a few onions... can't wait for the veggies to ripen!

ps- don't mind the horrible construction going on the background of the pics - the joys of a city garden :)

Congratulations! It's very refreshing to see the gardener win vs. the squirrels. :D Well done, and expect to hear from other squirrel-besieged gardeners....

Thanks! I can't tell you how satisfying it is to watch the squirrels hopping along the cage but unable to get in... muhaha :D
