Anytime after the last frost is a good time to plant seeds. Also, plant some in August to have plants for winter.

Cabbages, and root vegetables as well as other brassicas (chards and kales) are great vegetables to plant in August for winter harvest.

Now, tomatoes, tomatillos, ground cherries and so on should be started indoors indoors around February with the use of grow lights.
