What kind of garlic is this?

I bought this at the Mexican flea market Cedars of Lebanon TN. Saturday and Sunday while nice weather lasts.

No speak english. No comprende.

Elephant garlic?

Pretty huge for regular.

Second on the Elephant Garlic call. However, there are a ton of garlic strains out there. Check out some websites that specialize in seed garlic and you'll see.

I would not say that. It definitely has the garlic flavor and odor. Perhaps it is milder than some of the garlics.

The Elephant Garlic is in the same species as the leek, gut flavor wise leans more to the garlic than the leek.

I've had the same experience that jal_ut has with regard to elephant garlic: good "garlicky" taste, maybe less bite, certainly less peeling and chopping of fingers to get nice amounts of garlic into the pan! :)
