Peppers have Cross-Bred

I planted some thai peppers with seeds that I have saved for years. These are little peppers, and very hot. They are usually only an inch or so long, and they turn from green to red when ripe.

One year I planted them next to a banana pepper, and they cross bred. See picture. The peppers are about 3" long, about half the size of a big banana pepper and are very hot!

Awesome, a lot of people don't like crosses.

I think they kick butt.

Congrats on the new pepper. You have to name it now well after it stabalizes that is.

It is hard to say, just way hotter than a hot banana pepper. A pepper hot enough that you need to eat it with something. The flavor is pretty good if you like hot stuff!

I grew some a few years ago and dryed them. I add some to canned peppers but they either lost their heat or never had it. I enjoy hot stuff but not to the point I'm in pain. Lol I must be gettin soft or somthing.
