What is the length? Need a ruler (or a foot like waterbug likes to use) for reference.

Also, what's that weird gray growth on the top of the top one??

OK, so you made me go get a ruler. The longest one is 13 inches and the short one is 8.

That gray "growth" is a hole in the table where an umbrella can go. :)

Did you plant them later in the season?

I had my first cukes in June.

I just did a replant for cucumbers about 3 weeks ago and they are about 8 inches tall now and blooming. They are doing better than the ones I planted in the spring. But then again these have seen some rain!

Wow! I can't even plant cukes until June. Yes, June 1 is my day to plant.

For you guys that don't know what to do with cukes you should pickle them. Even if you don't have the equipment to properly pickle them you can make fermented pickles.

I'd say you don't even need "proper equipment." A sterilized jar and the ingredients are all you need for cold-processed pickles. Of course, they won't last indefinitely on a pantry shelf like canned pickles, but they'll last a good few months in the fridge at the very least.
