Looks like someone is going to be a bit busy today. I too love to pickle many of my vegetables. I also like to share with friends and I have given many pints and quarts away. The only thing I tell them besides "I hope you enjoy this" is "If you bring back my jars, it will be easier for me to fill them again so you can share some of my bounty."

Surprisingly, many of my jars find their way back home but I still find myself buying at least 3 dozen a year to put things up.

In the last month I've put up 14 pints of pepper jelly, 6 pints of fig preserves, 4 pints of jalapeno peppers, 3 qts. pickled eggs, and 4 qts. of green beans.

Nice! Still waiting on my peppers. But to me it looks like may have picked a peck of soon to be pickled peppers.

Final tally, ended up with 12 pint jars and 4 quarts. The beets were mixed with the reds onions and eaten, I would have wanted to pickle them but boy they were good..
