Keep in mind though that elephant garlic isn't actually garlic, it's a leek. I found out after my first year when I planted a bunch thinking "if I'm gonna grow garlic I might as well go for the big 'un!"

Yeah I know it is a leek. It grows like garlic but is not very strong at all.
