To late for carrots?

I ran out of room and I didnt have a chance to plant any. Now after picking half my lettuce I have room. Will they grow well this time of year?

As cheap as a packet of seeds would be, I'm going to say do it and see what happens. They probably won't have enough time to get very big, but little ones are just as tasty. I would continually mulch them with grass clippings because they don't like heat.

Carrots will be fine they are a cool weather crop so even if they finish up in the frost they will still be healthy and growing. you could even leave them in over winter under a row cover and harvest in the spring!

They store very well in the ground.

I would plant them now. Just remember to keep the soil damp until they germinate.
