are my plants on par?
This is my first garden, so I'm excited and anxious to get it right. I planted seed directly in the ground, my plants are now 7wks 3 days old, being planted apr 2nd. Most of my plants are around 4-5 inches tall with 5-6 leaves. One of my squash plants has given me 2 male blooms, none from the others but lots of buds. I don't see any buds on my cucumbers yet but lots of spikey little nubs that look like they could be buds. Are my plants growing right, or should they be more mature by now? Thanks for the help, hopefully you can ease my mind.

Sounds like you are doing just fine. Cucumbers will take at least 60 days from planting seed and perhaps a little longer, depending on the temperatures.
The first blooms on squash are usually male blooms. They are on tall stems and bloom at the top of the canopy. The female flowers come later and are on short stems down under the leaves.
