Are these growing correctly?

I've never done peppers or tomatoes before but I'm slightly concerned that the plants appear to be flowering already. Is it too early for them to flower? They're still pretty small and not that big at all.

I just have photos of the peppers:

The tomatoes are about the same size and also flowering already.

mine look like that minus the flowers this is my first year starting my peppers from seeds and not something I picked up in the store. I would be interested in seeing how yours do.

Your peppers will continue to grow up and out, and to set flowers. They love hot weather, so their prime growing time is just coming up. You have a jump-start with the flowers!

I just counted the one in the middle and it has 5 buds coming in! All at the top.

We've had some really hot, humid days already so that probably gave them a little jump start. Now it's more seasonal here.

my peppers looked like that a couple weeks ago and started flowering as well. to date, they are bigger now, and have given me four tasty peppers already! I wish I knew what kind they were :/ lol

I would add just a small caveat to the early blooming peppers -

watch the development of early fruits. in my experience they are frequently mis-shapen / malformed - similar to blossom end rot in tomatoes.

those I pick off as soon as I recognize the "problem" - saves the pepper plant some energy for later production.....
