Snip the bean plant?

Hi, I'm growing rose beans for the first time. They are in pots on my window and they have managed to climb up a string I have suspended from the top of the window frame. The problem is, they have reached the top of the string and are going up the direction of the ceiling where there is no light. Would you recommend I snip from the top of the window? Will they branch out from the side leaves then?

The window is about 1.5 meters (about 5 feet).

Thanks.

Says on the packet Phaseolus coccineus
I had made a literal translation from the Finnish Ruusupapu
Wikipedia says AKA runner bean or scarlet runner bean.
