Garlic question

Hiyas!
I usually plant my garlic bulbs in the fall, but for a variety of reasons I missed the boat this past year. I have some of my last bulbs in storage from last harvest begining to sprout, so I am going to plant them in a small side bed. My question is would they produce a small crop this year, or would it be better to just leave them to seed and collect the seeds for next year? I am not sure what species of garlic this is : I've been planting this same line for 7 or 8 years now. I think its a Roja type. I'm in zone 7, north Georgia.
