planted scarlet runner beans - Do they Taste Good?

I planted scarlet runner beans for the first time for the pretty red blooms, does anyone know if the beans taste good?

I like runner beans. They do have a little stronger beany taste, what every that means. I suggest you pick them when they are 6" or smaller or they maybe a little stringy.

I have never tried them as green beans, but let them go for dry beans. The dry beans were excellent.
