How Many Charleston Gray Watermelons in an 8x4 Bed?

They'll have plenty of room to stretch; the bed itself has two extra feet on each long side, goes onto a 3' pad of concrete on one of the short ends and can spill a long ways into the yard on the other short end. How many plants can I put into it? If more than one, should I plant them in one hill or space them out?

Thanks!

I would plant 10 seeds in a row right up the middle. See what comes up and possibly thin to the best 6 plants.
