The times may be off some in different zones, but the order of planting and the other tips will apply. If you want to find the right time to plant for your area, then you need to know the date of your last average frost. My date of my last avg frost is on my signature and you can see how many days that is off from yours and using that number to adjust the planting times, you will do well. The exceptions will be in the South where they garden all year.

I arrived at these conclusions after many years of trial and error. Some of the local gardeners asked me to put down some tips on paper, so that is how this paper came to be.

Then there is the silly weather, giving us all fits this year. I am planting some things two weeks earlier than I do most years.

Gixx put it best. Thanks James! :D

I used to have a similar list cobbled together from your comments here, then you shared the consolidated tipsheet. I always look over these tips at least once at seed starting and a couple more times when planning what to plant each year. 8)

BTW, did you say you use the scuffle/stirrup/action hoe?

Many thanks Jal_ut.

This information is invaluable for all of us, I'm sure, but maybe even moreso for those of us on the newbie end of the spectrum.

Good stuff...keep it coming.
