Climbing Peas

I'm interested in climbing peas or some type of climbing bean to plant near a wire dog kennel, so it will climb up it (if possible). What would be the actual name of what I'm interested in, so I can look it up on google.

Thanks!

I found a website selling climbing peas: https://www.saltspringseeds.com/catalog/index.cfm?categoryid=99

It lists the different names. I need some help on knowing what I should get. :?

I live in southeastern NC... I want them for shade... I have 4 chickens inside the dog kennel, so something they could eat maybe?

Scarlet runner beans are on tap for me this year, as are chinese noodle beans. You can find a wide variety of "pole" beans that will do the trick for you, I think.

Runner beans, pole beans.... You might also look under southern peas and cowpeas like here:

... Or yard long beans and asparagus beans....

Look in the descriptions for how tall the plants get.

Hmmm... Trying to remember if lima beans are not good for dogs? Butter beans are available as bush and runner varieties.

There's chickens in the dog kennel, not a dog. lol So looking for something they can eat off the vine as well. Thanks for all the ideas. I'm looking through all the different types.
