I reckon about a 7 also, but due to a much cooler season, especially early in the season. We only had two days that got above 90° F. The heat loving plants did not do very well. Any way, it seems I have always got a harvest of something, so it is worth the effort. On a scale of one to ten, how did your garden do this year. Mine was about 7 due to a very hot summer.
Funny how you got hot and we got cool.
Jal, I would have gladly traded for a few of your cool days. We had over 70 days with temps over 100 degrees and many at 110 degrees. My garden didn't appreciate it. We were down to 19 degrees the other morning and I asked my wife if she realizes it is more than 90 degrees cooler than only three months ago. I will be planting my tomato seeds under lights next week for my spring garden. We gardeners always hope for better weather the next year.
