side shoots on sprouting broccoli

Hi again, I have also side shoots on my sprouting broccoli that I sowed maybe this time last year, they have survived the summer and now have side shoots. Can I break these off and plant them too?

I never planted side shoots from broccoli but if you leave a side shoot go to flower then leave the flowers go to seed you will have plenty of seeds to plant!
