Rhubarb Disease

Earlier this year I chopped 1 Rhubarb into 5 and replanted them in a different area. All year long they were doing fine. They are nice a big now(twice as big than the picture). Now I'm getting some white lesions on the stalks of the rhubarb(Not the leaves). Less than a dime in size , oblong and when I press on them they are soft. I looked on the web for possible solutions to my problem but the only thing I can come up with is Root Rot? If it is , that means my rhubarb is done for. Looking for any other suggestions.

I'll answer, just so you don't think people are ignoring your plea. I don't know what's going on. I'm mystified, frankly.

I've been waiting for someone to diagnose the problem, but I think your second photo may bring out some advice. The first one didn't show any white lesions, so it was difficult to know what to look at.

Fingers crossed for a solution soon....

Its hot and dry here. None of my seedlings have survived the weather and transplanting. Even with supplimental watering.

I have more and am holding them back till fall...
