We had one just like that last week. It made for an extremely pleasant memory. No hail, no super high winds, just thunder, lightning, and steady rain, a half inch of it, beating down for about half an hour. Lovely! Living in Wyoming, it's easy to forget what a decent rain sounds and smells like. The plants were downright giddy with delight by the time it was over.
