I can't really tell what I'm looking at in that photo, but I think I see an eggplant cut in half?

I just went to the URL and saw it better. the seeds look more like a squash than an eggplant.

Looks like you planted your cucumbers too close to your watermelon, or some such combo.

^that wouldn't effect the fruit of that first cross-pollinated crop, but if you've been saving seed (or letting seed from old fruits stay in the garden), it could very well be. an old farmer boss of mine used to produce pumpkin-sized gourds in a field that he wasn't real careful about...never intentionally planted, just seed from things left in the field.

Yes, I'm thinking a immature Spaghetti squash. Winter squash variety.
