Blue lake pole beans

My vines are about 6-7 feet long but no flowers yet. When will I get flowers?

While this is my first year growing beans, and I'm growing different varieties, this was my experience as well. The plants were at least six feet tall before I started seeing flowers. Once they got started, though, they put out a ton of flowers. Last week I had enough Romas to cook for dinner. The Marconi plants were started later, but I should have some harvestable beans within a week. Again, I don't know what's typical for pole beans, but I wouldn't worry just yet!

I guess all I can do is be patient. I'm craving some bbq green beans and don't want to buy them. I did pick my first cherry tomato today :D

My pole beans have no flowers yet either. Bush beans are flowering like crazy.

I've already harvested 6+ lbs of beans already off my plants, got hammered with them quick. Been pickin a large hand full every couple days now and should continue till the end of the month.
