SVB egg removal?
If you try to remove SVB eggs by hand, and some fall into the dirt, will they hatch and go back onto the plant? Or do they only survive if they hatch directly on the plant?
I suspect that it's a matter of distance. If you have lots of ants and other critters, they could be toast before getting back onto the plant.
I use painter's blue tape for Squash bug egg removal-it's not so sticky that it'll harm the leaf. And it gets most, if not all of them. I don't bother for SVB eggs- (which are laid singly) I just gently roll 'em off, and crush.
If I drop it, well, that's the way it goes~
