Do I have cucumber wilt?

I've noticed that some of the leaves start to droop on my cucumber vines. Wondering, of course, if it has got bacterial wilt (or whatever it's called.) So I watered it and they came back to life. I watered them this morning, although I don't believe they were drooping......just watered them because it's been hot. But now (around 4pm) a few of the leaves are drooping again. This is the second or third time that they stop drooping after being watered and seem fine for awhile, then a few start drooping again. Sometimes it's just a few leaves. I haven't seen any cucumber beetles except for a few weeks ago, but it wasn't anywhere near the cucumber (and I killed it.) The container is about 29" long, 8" wide, and 6" deep. There are only 2 vines in the container. The leaves have some issues (see pictures) so I'm not sure if that is a clue as to what is going on. Can the container be too small? Lacking something? The dreaded wilt disease??? :? The pictures show one of the leaves drooping (this is about 30 minutes or so after I watered it for the second time today); the other pix show a close up of the leave issues; the other is the entire plant.

I don't know your location and how hot and sunny it is everyday. When mine do that in this heat, I just make some shade for it and it perks right up. Mine get all day everyday with close to 100* heat. Plants get stressed and sometimes need a break in the shade!

Interesting.....I didn't know they could get stressed from too much sun. It was my (I guess, incorrect) assumption that the more sun, the better. How do you create shade? I mean, I'm assuming you put something in front/side of it, but what????? I mean, it's not little.

They make a shade cloth that you can drape directly over the plant. They come in several weights...some for shade, some for warming in the winter. I just use old white sheets, poles and squeeze clamps.
