Saving Seeds from Sugar Snap Peas

So my peas are finished for the season. I noticed a few pods left on the vine that dried up before I even saw them. I also have a couple of pods that are not so yummy looking but I would like to save the seeds. What's the best way to do this?

Leave them on the vine until the pods are dry, then pick and shell the peas. Dry the seed a bit more before storing.
