Honeydew Melon

My honeydew melon in taking over my garden! Its HUGE! Can I trim it or will that mess everything up?

Just so you can get an idea. I have a small garden and this thing is massive!

It is not recommended.
Some say buy cutting back new growth and not letting new melons start the ones on the plant will rippen together and not be as sweet.
