Chikity doo doo fertilizer

Has anyone used the organic Chicity doo doo fertilizer
I started with it this year and the garden seems to be struggling
Very slow growing plant and lot of crumpled and dieing leaves
I added a small amount at the transplants and some side dressing.
Does anyone recomend this product.

Sorry I cannot provide input, but I too am looking for someone with results.

Never tried it, but I have used composted quail droppings, with decent results.
My brother this year is using rabbit manure, with tremendous results. I'm picking up some today, too. If you search Craigslist, you can probably find someone near you with rabbit manure. If you don't see the manure listed, try contacting someone selling rabbits on Craigslist. If they've got rabbits, they've got manure. It can be used fresh, but of course you wouldn't want to use fresh stuff on root crops.

Chicken manure not fully composted or too much applied can burn your plants.

The chickity doodoo fertilizer is a granular processed
fertilizer that I purchased from Rural KIng.
Says it will not burn plants.
Must be pretty new sounds like it is not well known.
It was 8.99 for 40 lbs. Can be used on yard or garden.
It has been a wet year starting off and then temps went
well above average to hot could be why the garden has
seemed to take off very slowly. May be nothing to do with the chicken poop

I'm not sure about the Chickety Doo Doo Fertilizer that you're talking about, but I do know about Poultry Poo straight from the bird. My family owns a turkey farm, and we've always used turkey manure in our gardens. Poultry poo (at least Turkey poo) is very high in nitrogen and a little goes a LONG way. I have a large garden (10' x 25'-ish) and I only use a 5 gallon bucket of turkey poo on it in the spring before we till. If you use to much, it will burn your plants. In fact, this year, I didn't use it at all just because it had gotten it the last 2 years.

I'm not sure about what you can do to save it.. maybe try watering a lot to get some of that nitrogen to wash out of your soil? Thats just a guess. :?: I'm sure there is someone on here who will know what to do. Good luck, and remember to take it easy on the bird doo doo!
