Is it a disease?

Hey all

So all of my herbs are doing great with the exception of some boxwood basil that was good to go one day and then a couple days later was toast. I noticed that the stem started turning brown, and gradually the entire plant took on the brown coloration and it dried up and died. (Yet all the other herbs planted in the same area are doing great)

Went out to the raised bed today and noticed that one of my smaller tomato plants has the same thing. Also some of the leaves on my strawberries and peas have been eaten away, but the veining is still there..leaves look a little like lace now..

Any suggestions?

I don't know about the brown stems, but skeletonized leaves like that could be japanese beetles. Those things are voracious. They'll look pretty and coppery, kind of scarab-like in appearance.

I havn't seen any bugs on or around my plants so far. With the exception of a couple of spiders and tiny flying critters that I can't see because they're tiny (Like a fruit fly)
