Replacing my spinage.

I live in nj zone 6 and the recent heat wave wiped out my spinage so, do I replace them with something else or do I just let the otherplants have more room?

Like many advise on here, try Swiss Chard. If you really like spinach, you'll more than likely like chard too. It grows bigger and tolerates heat much better than spinach.

I grow 2 types, Fordhook and Bright Lights. If you like color variety in your vegetable garden, give Bright Lights a try.

That depends on how much room your other plants need and if you really want to replace with anything. It also depends on how much space you have where the spinach was. You could seed corn, cucumbers, or most melons now. You could also seed snap beans or sunflowers. Some types of lettuce will do okay, especially if there is some shade. If you get plants from a nursery, it's not too late to plant tomatoes or peppers.

I learned last year that in heat, Spinach likes shade.
