I just found out that the the plot of land that I am farming has very little water pressure coming out of the hose. I would say it takes 15-20 seconds to fill up a 32 oz cup. Soooooo
I'm trying to come up with alternative methods, here was my idea.
Purchase a 55 gallon drum and put it in the bed of my truck and park it on the high side of the plot and siphon it off to the plants. I was thinking about purchasing a water pump but alas there is no electricity.
So what would be your idea to get water to thirsty plants where the water pressure makes using a sprinkler or hose almost impossible.
I'd buy a couple/bunch of these depending on the water requirements of the garden and build a strong elevated platform out of lumber and set these on top. leave the hose on to fill em and on watering day there should be enough. I see them for sale used on craigslist alot

You can find them on Craigslist I bought one $65 a month ago. Only problem the out is a house type water faucet for a garden hose. Even with that tank on a wooden stand 3 ft off the ground it takes all day for the water to run out on its own through a 5/8" garden hose. The tank holds about 500 gallons of water I put it under the roof gutter down spout 1 large thrunder storm filled and over flowed the tank. Plenty of water in the tank no easy way to get it out fast without spending lots of money.slyguy wrote:I'd buy a couple/bunch of these depending on the water requirements of the garden and build a strong elevated platform out of lumber and set these on top. leave the hose on to fill em and on watering day there should be enough.
