I think these are the yellow bush beans and the contender bush beans. Should I worry about shading the first leaves under dead leaves like in the first pic?

Did you also plant squash? They look like the huge cotyledons of squash.

Either way, no need to shade.

I planted early yellow straight neck and marketmore 79. I'm really excited to see their progress.
