What's going on with my garlic?????????????????????

It's starting to die off, or at least something is wrong. The weather sucks with lot's of rain and cold temps, but they like the cold, right!? This is really upsetting me. This is the crop I most anticipated this year. I sure hope it's not diseased. Here are some pics what do you think.

Jal, DDF you out there?

Beautiful garlic. What seems to be the problem? A few yellow leaves? Not a problem! All the garlic I have grown seems to do this. I have never seen it as a problem. Eventually it all turns yellow, then it is time to harvest.

My garlic's lower leaves do this as well. I don't worry about it. I see it as the normal progression of the lower/older leaves on plants.

I hope nothing is wrong, because that's exactly what mine looks like and I thought it was doing good!
I think you are safe, you want the tops to die back eventually. Or at least that's what I was told. :D

when the yellowing reaches half way up the plant I usually see it as a sign of time to harvest.

and don't worry its not anything you did, garlic just does this.

Well there you go. Thanks everyone, I fell much better now. This is my first year doing garlic the right way so I thought maybe there was a problem.

Good to hear that is normal.

Uh-oh! Is that...Oh never mind. :P

They are looking good, a little yellow, but you season is different than mine.

I will post some picture in my garlic post.
