The accidental gardener

We bought our house last summer and a garden came with it. It's been a great experience. This year I found a bunch of plants growing on the east side of the fence. Any idea what they are? I didn't kow how to post a picture so here's a link to my FB piture:

Welcome to The Helpful Gardener!

The webmaster has compiled many pieces of useful advice for new members here.

Among all the others, there is a thread with how-to advice on posting photos.

Although I didn't have a moment to try and look at your photos, if they're private, remember that not everyone has a Facebook account. By linking to them per the webmaster's advice, everyone will be able to see them, and you'll receive help from many more people. :D

That could be many different plants. A flower would be more helpful. I will take a stab and call it hollyhock, malva.

Just guessing

Thanks. No flowers yet. We are in WI and are just starting to have things green up. I saw malva online and thought about that. They are planted very strategically and have old stalks near them.
