DR OZ and benifits of purple plants!

I was watching DR OZ yesterday and they were saying that purple has special benifits over regular plants. They were talking about califlower and several other of the new purple family veggies! I planted purple asparagus this year . I always plant purple kohlrabi! I will also plant purple beans which I have grown many times. They were talking about the purple potatoes. Has anyone any info on this subject? Burpee has the red or purple type red sweet corn!

Purple anthocyanins are antioxidants (red, purple and blue colors). The red corn is Ruby Queen, but the red doesn't usually deepen until the corn is past eating stage so I wouldn't . "Indian corn" is very healthy because of the colors.

There are a few blue potatoes commonly available, mostly related to ALL Blue. If you want cutting edge high anthocyanin or betacarotene potatoes (blood red, blue black, or orange flesh) this is the place (also has blue tomatoes)...
